Hey i just signed up! My 1997 Acura 3.0 CL makes a noise that sounds kind of like a loose belt. it only makes the noise when it is in park or neutrol. I don't know what it doesnt make a differance if the air conditioning is on or not. It didn't make the noise when i first got it though. Also, the noise is very quiet and sometimes hard to notice

i bought it in california with 109k on it, when i went to get the spark plugs for it, they told me that in california they have to give it a full tune up to pass the smog test. Is this true?

 

maybe you have a loose belt. that happened to me when i lost 20lbs. :shrug:

 

I am new to this website. I have a 1998 Acura 3.0 CL. with 135,000 miles. It runs great. I have rebuilt the transmission about 15,000 miles ago. I need to know when should replace the struts. I plan to keep the car for at least two more years.

 

when the ride gets bouncy and uncontrolled?
