Timing Belt for 96 Acura 3.2 TL??
Hello All,
Just curious to know, is there a way to find out ourselves whether a timing belt for a 96 Acura 3.2 TL has been changed or when is it due?? As far as i've heard Acura recommends to change the timing belt for every 90,000 miles.
One of my friend told me that we can look it up ourselves for a Honda Accord which would be towards the right of Engine. Seems like there would be a sticker which would indicate when it is due next if it was ever changed. He wasn't so sure about Acuras.
Just thought of passing this across
Any inputs would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Manoj

uhh... i think it is every 60k that it is supposed to be changed. I have the same problem i have a 97 acura 3.0 cl and i don't know if the timing belt has been changed or not. it has 113k on it, if it wasn't changed, don't you think it would have been broken already??? just puttin it out there
If it was done at a dealer, any dealer shoudl have access to the dealer service records. If not, you're on your own to remember (or find out from teh previous owner.
I think the service interval is 90K on that engine. 60K was on pre '84 Civics, pre '86 Accords, pre '83 Preludes and most early twin cam motors.
