Default engine jerks on acceleration

About 1 year ago I had a problem with my 2000 TL (I had about 70,000 miles on it then) when the engine was jerking during the acceleration sometimes. Car electrician has checked with the scanner, which showed cylinders misfiring. I was advised to change the spark plugs. So I replaced them with the new original NGK plugs.

Now I have about 90,000 miles on TL and it started to do the same all over again, i.e. engine jerks on acceleration.
I've asked Acura dealership how long the spark plugs lasting before they needs to be replaced again; they said that the NGK originals are good for at least 60,000 miles.
So it seems that something else is causing the engine to jerk on acceleration.
Can someone out here hint me on cause?
Thanks

When you had your car scanned, what codes did it come up? If your car was misfiring, I don't see how changing the spark plugs would solve the problem.

the test was done a year ago and I did not pay attension to the code #, but I've read "misfiring" word for sure.
So if the replacement of the spark plugs is not the right solution, what is causing the jerking, what is the real problem and what needs to be changed then?

Yober, I am having a misfiring when accelerating problem, too, with our 2000 3.2 TL. It was sudden onset during a vacation trip last Friday. The car is now in a Honda dealership service bay 325 miles away from home. The EGR valve was replaced first thing this morning and all cylinders still misfire. BTW, this car has 69K and has received every scheduled service at our local Acura dealership.

What is going on with these 2000 3.2 TL's?

some of your ports might be getting clogged. Maybe by using cheap gas. Open up your head and clean the ports as good as you can. Also, use a gasoline with a detergent in it, like the middle octane Chevron gas with Techron. It's pricy but it keeps your engine clean and solid.

Many possible reasons...
1. Bad (cheap) Gas
2. Spark Plugs
3. Distributer Cap and Rotor
4. Clogged EGR or stuck Open

You can replace the Dist. Cap and Rotors, Plugs and Wires, Fuel Filter just to be safe. If your over 90,000 its about time any ways.

I have 99 TL and jsut did the full tune, water pump, timing belt, plugs, coil packs and the CIL came on. Misfire on #1 & #3 cyl. have run 2 tanks with fuel injector cleaner and not fixed. Car is starting to jerk also. I'm going to swap the coil packs before I go and replace the injectors. It is way too coincidental that this happened after the tune up. I am getting great gas mileage now after the tuneup though. any help would be great on this subject.

It is probably due to either the plugs or the coil packs. Injector cleaner won't fix misfiring issues. Did the CEL come up right away or did it take awhile after your tune up?
