Default Any opinions on these speakers?

94 GS-R (Thus, components in front and coaxial in the back)

Fronts:

Apline Type-R SPR-176A ($150)

or

Infinity Kappa 60.5cs ($160)

Backs:

PIONEER TS-A1680S ($49)

JBL GTO636 ($69)

Infinity Reference 6002SI ($59)

I'm either thinking about getting the Alpines and the Pioneers, or going Infinity all around. Any thoughts?

i actually have the 5 1/4 alpine components in the front of my cavalier and the 6x9 TS-A6980R, probably pretty close to the same thing, in the back. i like the alpines. i recently added some horns, so i cant really hear the components as much anymore, but when thats all i had, they were pretty nice.

Infinity all around, no question. They work great with Alpine decks also.

I think the alpines may need more power than a deck can give out. I would suggest an amp for the front too if you can afford it.

Definitely Infinity!! I had 6x9's in back on my 95 accord then switched to all audiobahn (decent switch i guess, but i wish i would have upgraded to the infinity kappa's or perfects). But Yes infinity very very very good highs and good good bass They can handle the power.
