Default Sony MD Head Unit? Whaddaya think?

I just ordered a new MD headunit for my 95 2dr. Even though it's too late now... what does anyone think about Sony MD headunits? I'd be curious to know. I wouldn't buy a Sony CD player I don't think. I've been a Pioneer and Kenwood girl forever. Figured I'd switch shit up a bit.

my brother has a sony md headunit that's been working well for the past 4-5 years. it's also the ES line and it cost $500-$600 back in 98/99. i have a kenwood md and cd headunit that's working fine but i just got it last december. good luck with your's. and before you buy it, keep in mind there are now mdlp formats for long play.

The only sony units I would buy are the C90, C910 or the XES system...

Mine is MDLP, that's why I got it. I looked over Sony, Pioneer and Kenwood. This one seemed to be the best. I've had it a week. So far so good. Just sick of CD's. If it sucks, I'll be the first to let you know. As I said earlier... I'd never buy a sony cd headunit. I agree. Sony is overpriced, but if it holds up, it'll be worth it. btw... did your buddy with the ranger run a lens cleaner in it ever?

Sony isn't good for either Home or Car audio, its just over priced cracker jack box equipment.
