Default Wiring my subs?

I took my system out of my old car and now installed it in my prelude but when I hooked the subs up to the amp, it seems the subs are not getting the full power from the amp. What could the problem be? I have checked all the wiring and everything seems to be ok. Also when I turn up the gain, eq., on the amp I get annoying constant feedback buzzing. Please help.

Well did u install ur system the firs time? If yes, you should know how to hook everything up. If not, did u bridge it? Well get back with that question before we can help. btw...what are the specs of both amp and subs?

try unhooking 1 channel and switching the wires from pos to neg and vice-versa. if this helps..... what was happening is that the polarity was reversed on one of the channels and causing cancellation.
