Default Engine noise???

OK, I'm not to familiar with electronics or audio. I have 2 12" kickers running of a 680W 4-CH amp. I keep getting engine noise, whenever I rev my engine it sounds like a high pitch tone and the higher i rev the higher the tone gets. What can I check to prevent this??

also if your amp is mounted a metal part of the chassis, that could create some noise

:werd:

1) Try different grounding point
2) Use rubber feet when screwing amp to floorboard
3) Keep remote turnon/RCAs away from power/ground
4) If all else fails try ground loop isolator or Radio Shack 20amp filter.
