Default Infinity Kappa 60.5CS without amp?

I recently purchased the Kappa components and I know I need an amp to properly power these speakers. I have a kenwood kdc5019 50w/23rms x 4 HU and I was wondering if I would get any use out of these speakers with out running an amp. I bought these speakers hoping for some extra bass but I guess I will find out when they arrive. Any help would be appreciated.

you can run them off of your HU but you wont get the bass you are looking for. you really need an amp to get adequate performance out of your speakers, especially compenents

good luck

Yea i have a pair of 60.5cs and powering them with ur HU just suck. Either run ur speakers with a 4 channel amp, or if u don't wanna spend that much money, use a decent 2 channel amp. good luck!

4 channel for the components and a 2 channel for the subs.. unless you get a 4 channel amp that can handle it all.

You want to mount the amp in a well ventilated around. Some people actually mount them on the bottom of the passenager seat. But don't be surpirsed if ur amp shorts due to overheating. I usually mount amps in the trunk, right on the backside of the seats. That why there's enough air to pass freely, cooling ur amp down. btw...don't mount it near the gas tank because heat and gas don't mix! g'luck!
