FINALLY - Horns are in the car!
Not that anyone really cares....but I have finally started my install!!
I spent about 6 hours getting the horns installed in my car. It was a total pain, but they are pretty symmetric, and are in there solid as can be.
If you guys are interested to see how they look, I'll post some pics later....right now I'm going to go install the headunit!!
This will be my interim (cheapo) setup:
Clarion HX-D10
Crossfire CFX-2 - 2 way active crossover - $20 shipped from Ebay!
RF Punch 4020 - Old School BBQ style!! - Free
CD1 Pros and the CX mids in the doors
That should keep me happy while I start the trunk buildup. After I finish the trunk, I'll come back and install the wiring and the sound deadening. The last parts will be the fiberglass for the front stage.
Oh well back to the garage....it's time to change the sig I guess.

Yup, I put them in myself. I decided to use aluminum to make the brackets and they are right where I wanted them. Unfortunately under the civic dash, the heater is really in the way, so the passenger side took a really long time. That was also the first side, so it took about 3x longer then the driver's side.

The bodies are trimmed - on the outsides to get the driver closer to the car, and on the far side on the passenger one to clear some heater components.
I'm also going to trim the bottom end of the driver's horn so that I can get some better access to the brake and gas pedals....right now heel/toeing is damn near impossible. I'll probably take about 1" off the bottom from the exit of the mouth toward the center of the car
