Default opinions about this setup

hey whats up...i'm about to start workin on a system for my hatchback...here is what i am planning to have...

These are the first things i'll be getting..

-Pioneer DEH-P350 Head Unit 164.95
-2 10" Kicker Comp VR's (300 watts RMS 4 ohm DVC) 79.00/ pc
OR
-2 10" Planet Audio Zetar Subs (350 RMS 2 ohm DVC)

-Crunch V2400 V-Drive Series Amp (2x300w @ 2 ohm load) 166.95(does crunch suck?)
OR
-Some Planet Audio Amp that has the right power?
-Already have pioneer door speakers

Could you please tell me if any of these products are bad or if I will be paying too much for them...I will also be doing a custom enclosure in the back of my car...mostly MDF with a little fiberglass...thanks for the help

List your total budget and what it is you really want for your system. Then I can make some recommendations.

What I will say is that you typically get what you pay for, and Crunch is cheap....

alright...yeah i've been hearing crunch is cheap so i'll go with PA...as for my budget, there isn't...i'll just spend what i spend...it's not endless or anything...for just 2 10's and an amp i wanna spend 450 max...i'm thinkin bout goin with the PA zetar subs too when comparing them to the comp vr's...their sensitivity rating is 7 db's higher, and the magnet is more than twice as large so...my friend is gonna sell me 1 zetar for 70 bucks...sound good?...what other places sell PA subs online?

get the two comp vr's, then go to ikesound.com and get the appropriately sized JBL BP series amp (either the 600.1 or the 1200.1) Both are good amps for the money. I've never really seen PA's lineup, but then again, that's sorta a sign...

yeah...i've heard PA amps are really good...but curley i'll try your suggestion too...my friend said he'd sell me 2 blown PA 10" zetar's for 25 bucks...then i'd have to pay 20 to ship it back to PA and i'd get some brand new ones...i'll call em tomorrow and see whats up...although since they're blown that kinda says somethin...but i don know he hooked up a PA 1250 D to a 600 watt sub one time so...i think he was at fault for blowin these subs

i've made a decision...i think...

-JBL BP600.1 ... 600 x 1 @2OHM load ... 253.95 on mainstreetaudio.com(pulls a max of only 67 amps!!!)

-2 Planet Audio 10" Zetar's(buying from my friend for 25 and seeing if PA will swap them for new ones)...350 w RMS 2 ohm DVC

will wire each individual sub in a parallel circuit to get each down to 1 ohm load, then put the 2 subs in a series to get it back to 2 ohm load...sound good?

where can i get a subsonic filter since i'll be usin em in a ported box?, i've heard you can get one to connect to the RCA cables, is that true?...and what does a subsonic filter do anyways?...

thanks for the help folks
