Default opinions needed!! suggestions for a cheap setup

my older sister wants a sub but doesnt want to spend much. i was thinkin that mebbe this setup would supply her needs. she doesn't want pounding bass, just something to carry the low end.
heres the amp:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...category=18796
and here's the sub:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...category=32823

i will probably get her some crossovers for her door/deck speakers. does anybody know if those bass blocker things from crutchfield work? thanx in advance.

hey. addressing your second question, the bass blockers should work just fine. just wire them in line w. your speakers and you will be good. is everything in her car stock right now? if it is and you are just looking for a sub to carry out the low end id suggest like a Sony or Pioneer Sub. they are decent subs that will support some good low end bass without spending too much money and without getting loud pounding bass. if this is going in an all stock system car, i would personally power it with between 150-250 watts rms. if its aftermarket anything 300, 350 watts rms and above will be good.
Sony Sub 12"

Pioneer 12" Sub

actually she has jbl 5.25" speakers in the front and some cheap blaupunkt 5x7"s in the deck. btw, this is in a dodge shadow, and its a hatchback. dunno if that helps u. thanx for the suggestions but i was going to look for a decent sub that already has a box with it cuz then i wouldn't havta make a box; but i will if it will yeild better results.

I don't like that amp, don't know much about it though...

My suggestions
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2422179513
for the amp...

and

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...category=18803
for the sub

But just my personal preference, this will hit like a mofo though
