Default 1990 Accord stereo install

I have a friend who wants to install an aftermarket CD player in his 1990 Accord and I was wondering if he would need the rack to mount it or he could just install the cd player and use the stock little box underneat the stereo.

I haven't actually done a 4th gen, but I think this link should help.

Yes I saw that page but I was wondering if you needed the radio installation kit or you could use the stock pocket under the radio cause in my 92 Prelude I had the radio installation kit but I think it looked ugly and the cd player was extending out so I installed it with the stock pocket and it fits flush and nicely and IMO looks much better and I was wondering if it was possible to do it that way in the 90 Accord also

a friend of mine had a 92 accord and used the stock pocket. Just buy the wire harness adapter to wire it up.
