How do you like the 300/4? Does it have enough power for you?

All of JL's amps are underrated, unlike most other amp brands. The 300/4 amp is plenty of power.

Actaually I think its the other way around that most other reputable companies underrate their amps. Most will give you atleast 20-30 watts over speced power on a 200 watt amp. My pg did.

JL audio amps are rated at RMS. Rockford Fosegate used to do the same

alot of the companys that over-rate their equipment do so by saying Peak or Max power. Like how RF now does, which is why I'll never buy a RF product again

Just about any amp ive seen has an rms rating on it. Some will just put their "peak" power printed on them to make them look better. As long as you look at rms. Most of the better amp comapanies rate their amps by rms. Im not talking about sony, pyle or boss or any of those...

If its like a 1000 watt amp it could be easy to get 200-300 more. Some are cheater amps that are rated really low but will put out insane power basically too keep you in a lower power class.
