Default Amp for subs...

Alright so here's the deal, i have two audiobahn 10" 400w rms at 4 ohm each and one of my buds has an amp that he doesn't need anymore, the specs are below, but my question is would i be able to get this amp and just splice both speakers to one wire and wire it up to this amp because it's only a 1 channel amp...thanks for your help in advance!

Rated Power: 1000 W RMS @ 1.5 ohm-4 ohm (11V-14.5V)
THD at Rated Power: <0.05% @ 4 ohm
S/N Ratio*: >95dB below rated power
Frequency Response: 5 Hz-500 Hz (+0, -1dB)
Damping Factor: >500 @ 4 ohm/50 Hz
Input Range: switchable from 200mV-2V RMS to 800mV-8V RMS

If you run the speakers in parallel they would work because you'll get the impedence to 2 ohms and not at 8 ohms if you run in them in series...

But hell I dont know anything! hah =)

Based on the specs you provided this amp should work perfect with the Audiobahn subs as long as you wire them in parallel.

Damn those specs look alot like a JL Audio 1000/1
That amp will handle your impedence load

Why not use the JL Audio amp instead of the two Bazooka amps you mentioned in another thread. I think the JL amp would work alot better in your application.

i'm planning on it but hes not a very reliable friend because i've seen it in his car but he said he will get it to me when he sells his stuff and gets his new system...which i think will be awhile so i was just gonna buy those and hook em up to the subs and sell em once i got his amp
