i actually do custom installs and compete. i hold three 1st place state and regional records and one 2nd place state record. 0 gauge (alt wire ) wire is the best and if you can get 2 alt that would be better. the distance from the battery to the amp determines how big a wire should be. i have four strands of alt wire running from my battery to my amps. i have a 200 watt amp, a 400 watt amp, a 600 watt amp, and a 1800 watt amp. alt wire is awsome. i use it on pretty much everything. another way to tell what size to use is how big of wire is the amp made to accept. if its only made for 4 gauge then use that but with the amount of power your lookin at id run alt wire to a distribution block and 4 gauge from that. look on www.partsexpress.com. they sell alt wire for like $2.19 a foot. its $54 for 25 feet. invest in it.
another thing. capacitors are very over rated in all actuallity they only cover about 300 watts with a 1 farad. im not jokin about any off this. email me if you really wanna talk about the technical tips i caqn give you. these are pictures of my 2 cars. i now have many more trophies than whats pictured
