What are you planning on pushing w/that amp? As for the quality of that amp, im sure it would be fine, if my Power Acoustik amp could push some 12" MTX Thunder 4000's nicely, im sure that Kenwood would be just fine. However, I got a Lanzar OPTI500.2 amp 900x1rms @4ohms bridged for $130 shipped, and the Lanzar OPTIdrive line is way better than that Kenwood line. I'd say keep shopping around.

ok I will be using it for two either Apline type R subs or some Rockford HE series subs. dont know which ones. My budget for a two channel amp is around 199.00 I really cant go higher than that so if you guys can recomend some other brands that push out about 150 x2 at 4ohms please do

if you are going to power a pair of type Rs. how about spending a bit more on the JBL power valve series. the 600.1. its a bit more than $200. but i think its well worth it. i havent used the OPTIdrive line before.

With either of those subs, I suggest you get something w/more power. The Type R's are rated at like 100-300watts rms so i'd say you should at least run them at about 200watts rms or more. You can get a JBL BP600.1 amp that would give them each 300 watts rms for $175 here I have the BP300.1 right now pushing some Vega 12's and they hit pretty good. I was very suprised at how hard that little amp pushes them, I think you will be better of with that JBL amp over that Kenwood one.

Based on your budget I would also go for the JBL BP600.1

ok i need this explained to me. i maybe a little slow or dum lol. why would a mono amp be better than a 2 channel amp. I just dont understand that. can someone please really break it down for me. cause the way that i see it is that a mono is one sided you apossed to stereo being two sided. A two channel amp would mean that one channel is dedicated to one sub and that other channel is to the second sub am i right. I am kinda lost you know. but the advice that you guys give me i really trust I have been on this forum for a min now. most of the advice i have gotten is for my car and stuff and it has been very good. So I wouldnt see why that audio part would be just as good you know. so can someone really break this down for me.

a mono is not "better" than a 2ch amp...and vice versa. i think what is confusing you is that thinking mono means one and stereo means two. its correct in that sense, but you can hook up 2 or 4 subs onto a mono amp, or you can just hook a single sub to a 2ch amp.

i suggested the JBL because i KNOW its a solid amp. i had that amp in my car, and have installed a couple for my friends.

that JBL amp will push those type Rs nicely. its rated at 600 watts x1 @ 2 or 1OHM.
