There's nothing wrong with the rca's since he doesn't have an amp powering the interior speakers. I'm pretty sure it's the deck.

By deck, I meant hu, head unit, source, in dash, you knew that.
Anyways, I believe that the problem is your hu. Good excuse for an upgrade.

Just curious, you don't run your subs bridged? I guess that is the only way just one would be playing though.... Im just asking cause most of time subs are bridged. If three years is ancient my clarion is beyond that. Its 4 or 5 years old already

Lol Yeah my Clarion is probably that old, like i said, 2 or 3 but prob more than that. Could u explain how u bridge subs? The problem with me is all audio definitions, cuz i probably know what u mean.. just not the term And today my system is working.. i'm king of the road again.. man i've missed the sound of going under a bridge! Let's hope it keeps workin for awhile longer.. or i'm just gonna have to start smakin the deck at the side

Bridging is when you wire two speakers together and then wire it to the amp. There are only two wires on the terminal of the amp. It usally goes on the pos of one channel and neg of the other. This makes sure both subs get exactly the same signal. If an amp is 100 watts by 2 then when you bridge it you will usally get 200 watts by 1.

Yep it's bridged. Anyway, it stopped working.. again.. PoS lol Here's just a little bit more.. observations.. not real information, but observations none the less:

It has no particular logik to when the right side kicks off. It could be right in the middle of a song, no matter how much bass or lack there of is going on at the time. It has mostly worked just as i turn my car on. Or.. has stopped working when i turn my car on. Here's some example stories:

1) Drive car with stereo working, turn off car and take out key, get back in car, turn on car, it could A) Continue working like it was or B) Left side only again

2) Wake up in the mornin, go start up car, it could A) Have full audio or B) Only left side again.

Again, any ideas besides the deck would help... cuz i doubt it's the deck if it works fine (when it is workin)

If its bridged to the sub the only way i can see just one sub playing is if a connection has come loose. Otherwise they would just both play not as loud.

You haven't ruled out demonic possession have you? If all else fails, keep that in mind.
