lol shit well a wire already fell off.. why did i use gator clips?!? ARGH!!! and my cap isn't working.. could it be because i had EVERYTHING plugged in before i reconnected my power wire to my battery? is that why it didn't charge?

how do you know your cap isnt working?

might want to recharge it again, its pretty easy to do so.

thats what i was asking.. how do i recharge it. do i have to first uncharge it with a scissors?

huh? you mean touch the negative and positive post together?

i dont think so.

the cap should have came with a chip which you would use to charge it up before use. you hook the chip up to the negative and positive post, then hook it up to the battery post and ground it.

when its done, a LED will go off.

hmm no... not exactly... would it work if i just ground out the negative and run a positive to the battery and disconnect the amp? i did it before but i dont' remember how

How long did you have the cap disconnected? The reason I ask is because I have always been under the assumption that it would hold its charge unless you discharged it.

ok first off they will constantly lose charge if you take the power source away.. this is not the issue. it was off for all of maybe 30 minutes. Again i just need know how to reset the damn thing so it'll act as a cap.. i think it was just pretending to be a battery for awhile and now just sits there letting current go through rather than collecting it.
