How can I enter a number other than 1,2,3,4,5,6 for my cd player's security code? THere are only 1-6 numbers available to enter !!

 

That's usually because the security code consists only of #s between 1-6. Unless I'm mistaken, you will never find a code with a number 7,8,9,etc. in it.

I'm not an expect on 2001 OEM CD players, though... for all I know, you are staring at a slip of paper in your hand reading "79897" or something. But as far as the older decks go, it's a combination of numbers from 1-6.

 

Honestly, I am not sure if what I have is the number. Because it does not say that this is the security code. I bought the car about 1.5 year ago, and this is the first time I had to deal with it, battery ran out, forgot a light on!

Anyway, I guess I have to call the dealer. But in the meantime if anybody knows simething please let me know. Thanks
