Default wiring of subs

ok im new to putting a system in my car but i got 2 12" DEI Pro Plus subs in the box and a DEI amp to go with it. now im getting the rockford fostgate amp kit from best buy, i think its the 4 gauge which from what i hear will be pleanty big enough. the only thing is that i have no idea how to connect it all. i searched and couldn't really find anything. so if anyone has a diagram or somewhere to go to see what wires go where, that would be sweet. oh and the amp is about the size of my foot (9 1/2) so it doesn't seem that big but the friend that i bought them off of didn't know how big the amp was but said they hit hard. im prob gonna hook it up to my stock head unit and as soon as possible, im gonna get the pioneer 7400. so if anyone could help with this, it would really help. thanks

Post up the specs of the amp and the subs. It depends on what ohms the subs take and what the amp can handle as to how you wire the subs up.

hard to answer without more info.

post the model number of what you want to use...the RF amp and subs. must include the impedance of the subs, and all the power rating of the amp.

ok i j/ went out and looked at it and here is what i got, dont know if this will help or not. 2 12" DEI Pro Plus subs in the box, set of places to put wires on both sides of subs. the amp is a DEI Audio Mobile Power Series model 2101. on one side there are a freq, bass, and gain turn nobs with arrows on them, a little thing to switch from HFP to OFF to CPF. there is also a status light and 2 red and white plugs for the input and output. and on the other side there is a spot for speaker + - , fuse 30A, and a spot for +12, REM, and GND. that is all that i can see. i hope that helps a little. if not, are there any other ways i can find out about it? i went to the DEI site but they've updated everything. all help would be appreciated.

1. go to pawn shop
2. sell gear for as much as you can squeeze out of the guy.
3. go to a stereo shop
4. buy quality equipment
5. smile because now you'll have good sound in your car.
6. sleep better at night

Pretty easy....

Well like you described above about your subs: "set of places to put wires on both sides of subs." If this is true then you probably have the DVC(dual voice coil) which means its model number 2128. These subs say they handle 300/250 each and with your amp only being 100 watts I can already tell you that your amp is too small and wont push those subs.

See if you can get a response from someone else here because I dont know much about DEI audio so I dont know if they are any good or not.
