instead of spending $700+, get theft coverage on your car.
You are looking at the bottom line, and I hear you. It's not like im dying to spend $700 on an alarm for my car, that's alot of money. However, my goal is keeping my car where I parked it, with as much stuff on/in it as when it was parked. Theft coverage isn't gonna accomplish that. Im sure we have all heard the horror stories about dealing w/insurance companies when ur stuff gets stolen, that's one headache I could live without. $300 for tint AND alarm, damn mang, either you have a hell of a hook up or u are a cheap mofo. What kind of alarm did u get?

honestly mang, I think these "responder" type alarms are dangerous. I mean, all they do is put you in harms way. If you're in a resturaunt(sp?) and your 2way remote starts going off, you're gonna get up and run outside to see what's up w/your car right? Now what if the dude has a gun and you confront him, napking still tucked in your shirt? I'd rather pay the extra $$$ and get something I know will prevent theft. When you compare the features of the concept 600 to those of a Matrix RS3 or Viper 790x, it's painfully obvious which would better protect ur car.

The professional guys that try to steal it when you are not around don't carry guns because they don't need to. The only ones that carry guns are the ones who are gonna come up to your car while you are driving and point it in your face saying "get out now." The only thing you can do about that is give him your car. I know the features of the matrix pale in comparison to the concept series, but you have a better chance of saving your car if you know when its being broken into (like i said before no car alarm can prevent theft, just slow it down). Maybe if you could get the responder thing with the concept 600, that would be even better.

why do you think it's the best alarm there is? I could be wrong, but it looks to me that these "pager" alarms only come w/ur basic, run of the mill, security features, but you get a cool looking lcd pager/remote I haven't seen one w/digital tilt/motion sensor that will set the alarm off should somebody tilt ur car off axis(like 3degrees if im not mistaking), or attempt to roll it at all. Nor have I seen one w/a wireless immobilizer or dual zone proximity sensor, or dual stage omni-sensor, or glass tampering sensor, or built in dual-point immobilization, or the coded blackjax system. All of these are features I consider necessary to give me peace of mind and protect my vehicle better than any insurance policy can.

Now we're talking, if I could get the security features of a Concept 600 w/the 2 way features of the Responder, then we'd have a winner:thumbup: I know firsthand that car thieves do carry guns cause a friend of mine almost got killed when he approached some guys trying to steal his car. If getting shot at trying to save ur car doesn't put things into perspective, I don't know what will. It's gonna take a special thief to get around a properly installed Concept 600 w/self powered siren. I'm not saying that my car is gonna be 100% safe, but w/that alarm and the autolock, it's gonna be such an unattractive target that im gonna be comfortable with it.

Go for the concept 600, let me know how it works
If i had the money and my car was worth steeling (right now its not) i would probably be doing the same thing. Heh, right now the only thing thats worth stealing in my car is tweeters. I have them mounted to the sail piece so someone could easily rip those out (hasn't happened yet though). Right now i think the little status LCD from my DEI alarm is scaring all the theives away in my school parking lot...heheh dumb kids.

Wait, or better yet, get that thing I saw they advertise in Germany. Its got like three big exhaust type looking pipes pointing up on each side of the car. So when someone tries to break in, or jack it while you are driving it shoots flames up and fries their ass! Im not joking, i really saw an ad for this in germany (was awhile ago though). And i think it shoots like cold fire so it doesn't hurt as much....
