Default Looking for Amp Recommendation

I am looking for an amp that will push 600W X 1 @ 4ohms. I am looking to get the most bang for my buck.

Seems like every time I find an amp, someone says "Your just paying for the name!" I am willing to pay for the name if it is a good amp!

Recommendations?

TIA,

Jim

infinity beta digital 300... 1000watts x 1 into 4ohms, I've never heard of someone throwing them 1 channel though, most end up blowing the sub in 2 channel mode which is 300watts rms x 2 but with the right subs I've heard it's a very top of the line amp

Is that an older amp? I can't find it for sale at any online store and the Infinity site doesn't even list it.

Yes, it's older. They have been discontinued for some time now. Only find em on ebay these days. They are great amps, I think. I have two of the infinity digital beta 100's. 400watts x 1 at 4ohms. Plus I got the 2nd one on ebay for like $90.

They are awesome amps, I don't know why they don't make em anymore.

he's going off peak power, not constant power. Infinity amps are crap, period. You want good power? You want CLEAN power? JL 500/1. Retail $550. Deal done. Best amp on the market without spending over a grand for that amount of power. Anyone who says differently doesn't know a thing about car audio amps or hasn't looked into the JL amps.

why's that? I'm curious to hear this. I know they're not for all people otherwise, they'd make the only amp on the market. But then again, people swear up and down about Memphis amps...don't even get me going on them...lol!
