Default Alpine amps any good?

As some of you may recall, I'm in the process of building a system and I think I'm going to go with Alpine speakers, and I have an Alpine HU. Here's the thread for background info: https://www.honda-acura.net/forums/s...threadid=39310 My question is this -- do you all recommend Alpine amps? I don't have a large budget and want to spend a good deal of it on the speakers, while spending just enough on an amp to get quality and improvement. Subs will probably be coming later, but for now I need something to power the speakers. I like the idea of a coordinated setup if possible, but is that the best idea in this case?

Alpine makes good amps... particularly their V12 series.
