On my stock 6x9's they say 15 watts on them. Is that 15 watts rms or 15 watts max. Also, how much gain would i get if i got 20 watt rms speakers back there.
if you still have the stock headunit, this is still the limiting factor (ie, same power output) so you might not have louder music (just better sound because the speaker is probably made of better materials).
depends on the 20watt speakers. i dont know of a quality speaker with such a low powering handle, but like McIntosh'd UA5 said....the stock speakers are just peices of paper on a magnet.

I bet that's the max rating. I doubt there's any gain to be had by increasing the power handling of your speakers w/o increasing the power to them. Why not just go to Fry's and pick up some Polk Audio EXII 6x9's for $50 like I did?:thumbup:
