Default Security Door Locking?

Hey guys...

For the 05 Accords...I tried testing my security system... I locked with the remote and tried to pull the lock knob from the outside...

The alarm...or honking sound went off...but the door lock knob stayed open......

Shouldn't the knob automatically shift back down....

My brother's Lexus...when I tried to pull the lock knob...it open...but the security went off and the knob went straight down...
