My Back Is Sore!!!
Hey guys... its 12:45 at night here in the east bay. I just finished dynamating the entire rear section of my hatchback with xtreme dynamat, I noticed it was alot lighter than the other dynamat. I am having a few problems right now. First off, does anyone know were I can get a bracket mount for my deck? I am talkin about the metal bracket that goes in the console, the one that holds the bracket for your deck. All the shops I have been to have told me "dude, you dont need a bracket. It will slide right in!" Like Im some kind of fawking moron who cant look at the big ass hole in my console and the little ass bracket on my deck and add. The second problem is my door speakers, i got the 6.5" speakers in there and the tweeters. I hade to use 1 inch spacers to fit them in there so they dont hit the window. After all this work, the stupid handle to roll down the window now hits the fawkin tweeter!
! Im getting a little frustrated, I have spent all weekend bent over in a civic hatch. Also there is no place to mount my 6X9's, so I was gona mount them on the woofer box facing towards the front. Is there any problem with this? Will the woofers cause distortion in the 6X9's? Sorry for the bible, I had to vent!

If you plan on putting the 6X9's in the box with the sub and not sealed off from the airspace of the sub then yes you will see a problem. The sub will cause them to float. I wouldn't suggest it. Seal them off from the sub and you should be fine.
when you say bracket, do you mean the cage? if so, ive never seen a place that sold them, but you might check ebay.
why dont you try making the tweeter flush against the door, so the handle doesnt hit it.
try to listen to your system without the 6x9. if the fronts are tuned good enough, i bet you wont even miss the rear fill.
otherwise, just make sure you arent having the 6x9 share the same airspace as the subs.
what kind of hatchback do you have?
