Okay, the unlock door button works. The car will lock, and I can get into the trunk. The problem is I cannot get the car to BEEP when we hit the lock button the second time. We tried the panic button to see if the horn would sound..But it does not. It flashes the lights inside and out. But no horn. The horn by itself works fine if manually pushed. Any help would be appreciated. Oh, the vehicle is a 2003 Acura EL. Also it is the factory alarm. Nothing aftermarket.

 

Well, I got it figured out myself...Mashed a bunch of buttons and it worked. Go figure. When in doubt, use a bigger hammer.

 

your unit was in valet takeover mode. well good thing u got it out and back into normal operation
