Default Aftermarket HU install into 6th gen Accord

Going to put a JVC HU into a 6th gen Accord. Saw a single DIN adapter plate at Crutchfield but it seemed to get some bad reviews - people citing bottom gaps as problematic.

Is there a better adapter plate out there for single DIN?

yea.... the stock pocket. (LX models have it)

you can try ebay, or the dealer..... you'll get the best fit from it.

or you can go with Metra dash kits. They have it for any car, and most local shops will use this brand since its perfect fit. I use them alot and no problems.

Got some information on the Honda factory pockets for below the stereo:

Pocket without flap: P/N 77280-S84-A50ZA (about $33)
Pocket with flap (door): P/N 77280-S84-A11ZA (about $34)

Could not find the stereo mount at all. Had the Honda Parts guys look twice.

I think I might try a Metra bracket, cut the bottom pocket out and insert the factory Honda pocket. Might be the best combo (if it all fits together, that is).
