Default power door lock actuators

so i hooked up my actuators today for power door locks but they didn't really work... when the rod wasn't connected to the locking rod they worked but when it was all connected it wouldn't... i think that the actuator itself was jus not strong enough cuz it would kinda move like it was trying to but just wouldnt be able to pull the rod to unlock it... anyone else have this problem or know what i can do???

make sure you have the correct angle on the acuator rod. the alarm puts out enough to lock or unlock as long as it's wired correctly. use your cordless drill battery to switch polarity on the acuator to see if it locks/unlocks.

if your alarm do not have high current wires to pull those actuators, youll need a pair of relay.

www.the12volt.com look in the relay section for reverse polarity doorlock.

My driver side power door lock didn't behave nicely when I did my power window/lock swap on my Si. The passenger side works fine. I had to switch out the plastic guide on the door that holds the rod in place so it would slide easier. Also, make sure that the actuator is in there properly.
