Default head unit problems

k so i got a kenwood mp5032 head unit and the other day while i was drivin and listenin to a cd it jus stopped and the screen says E99... now all i can do is listen to the radio... it won't even go to the cd source at all and when i push eject it will push the cd out but not load one in.. i pushed the reset button on the head unit and it will go to the cd source for a second but then just say E99 again.... does anyone know wat i should do to fix it or has anyone had this happen to them before??

I'e never had that happen to my Kenwood MP828, although I only had it a short time. < 6 months. Sadly, 99% of the time a car stereo isn't worth fixing. It's generally not cost effective in comparison to just buying a new one.

One thing you could try is completely disconnecting it from power for a few minutes. BUT, make sure you have the four digit security code if your HU is so equipted which I'm sure it probably is.
