Default Panic button on remote too sensitive

Recently the panic button on my remote keyless control has become extremely
sensitive, such that the slightest pressure sets off the car's alarm. Even putting
the fob into or taking it out of my pocket the button can become engaged.

Very annoying for myself and my neighbors.

Is there any way to deactivate this button?

This is the factory remote from my '03 MDX.

Thanks,
-Bob

I haven't had any experience with acura's alarm systems, but if they are anything like aftermarket units then there should be a way to reprogram the transmitter to rid the panic. if not, replace the remote.

As far as I know, replacing the remote is all you can do.
