yodi...choosing the right HU for your vehicle is going to depend on two key factors: System design and Budget.

both alpine and pioneer build great products. list a complete system design of exactly how many amps/subs/speakers/ etc. and a budget to stay within and we'll try to help you design your setup!

oh...and the links you provided take us to the homepage of both companies, not the actual decks.

I own the alpine deck as well. You can't beat it for the cost. Plus the ipod cable will run you only 30 bones.

i have both,
first i bought alpine cda-9856, but then i bought pioneer 6800, both have awesome sound quality, both look great, but i like pioneer better because it has more sound control, easy access to sub control, and a rotary 7 key button, however pause and att buttons are only on remote, and the buttons are little bit too bright. both were around 250, hope this helps.

i got the alpine deck and i love it....not sure about the pioneer, but ive heard good things about it...depends on what your doing with the rest of your system but if u get that deck then get alpine speakers/subs they go very nice together since alpine speakers/subs are better than pioneers...but thats if your goin with the whole alpine system so its up to you
