Default shopping for new stereo deck for 2006 rsx--girl needs help!

Just bought a new 06 rsx, and need to replace the stock deck with one that will accomodate my ipod and is xm-ready...What do you guys suggest?

I'm female, so the last thing I want to do is walk into a store and get the usual run-around...just wanted to do some research beforehand. Thanks!

Are iPod and XM the only requirements? What is your budget? Do you need outputs for amps? Budget?

stay away from pioneer if you want ipod support. the interface sucks. It's really slow cycling through songs and only useful if you use playlists a lot.

Keep in mind, your install kit will run you a pretty penny. $100+ iirc. It incorporates a new hazard switch.

Actually Pioneer has drastically improved Ipod capabilities on the 2007 models. There is a $30 cable that you buy that replaces that old interface. Pioneer created a new port on the back of the radio called the iBus, it is very similar to the IPBus but is strictly for an Ipod. It works very well and I highly reccomend it.

if your lookin for iPod hook ups, get one of the Alpine decks for about $200ish and all u gotta do is get the 30 dollar cable and plug it in and it charges and u can control it with the deck, and the step-up deck (bout 50 bucks more) has the same thing but it also comes XM ready. i have one of these and they work great
