I had minor and feul induction service and after that the sounds from fron left speaker rambling at certain frequencies! The repair shop told me it's after-market cd player's equalization adjustment, but right before the service, it sounded good enough!

Any clue how this happend? I thought the technician didn't tie all the wires well.

You left your faceplate on is the problem and they blew your speaker, your fault.

 

Thanks for the reply but I did turn off everything and just left them the key. What happened after that I have not clue at all.

yes, it was. However, the player gets power from the 12v, and output driving current to drive the speakers. I agree that not proper operation while the faceplate is attached might cause power problem to the player, but I can hardly imagine how that blow up the speaker.

 

So you undid the wires?? Im very confused as to what you did.

 

sorry for the confusing. I didn't touch any wire. The player, wires and faceplate were the same as they were installed.

I might need to read the player's manual to see if it requires removal of the faceplate during service. I kinda doubt about it, since the power supply to the player is one thing; the audio output to speaker is another thing. I know fuse of the cd player maybe blow way if power was on during service. But how can that generate strong current for the audio output and damage the speaker?

What they did is use your car as the shop boombox, very commmon. There's really nothing you can do about it.
