Default Ipod info please

My daughter wants a Ipod. I believe its a "Nano" at BestBuy. She also wants me to pull out the Alpine CD,MP3 player and install my JVC KD LX-10 with remote.

Whats the better of the IPODS out there for the money. Shes limited to around $150 and I've heard someone got 1000 free downloads as well.

I dont know IPODs. I still have 8 tracks ....Jack

Yea you can get a 2GB iPod for $150 about anywhere. Look for after Christmas sales.

Are you trying to get info on integrating the iPod into the vehicle through the JVC KD LX-10 cd changer?

Does it have to be an Ipod? Or just a portable MP3 player?

My daughter basis "want" by name. Doesnt mean its the best option just the one thats popular at school . Bought the 4 gig Nano for $199, only because the 2 gigs were out.

Yes I will try and hook this up to the JVC. Too difficult on the older Alpine but have an extra input on the even older JVC. Just need to know what connector I need from the RCA jacks on the JVC to the IPOD?

All you need is a RCA Male --> 1/8" Mini male plug.

Basically RCA Male --> headphone plug. You can get these at BB/CC/Target/whatever, but I suggest radioshack, as they are cheaper.

Ok....So I'll need this from the JVC and then from there reduce it to 1/8 mini.... Correct. Compared to the Alpine CDE 9846 this is cheap .

So wheres all the free music these days? :shhh:

works like a charm. Very pleased. All you have to do is connect it and thats it. charges it while it plays.
couldnt of been easier to install
