Which is better for headunits, monitors, disc changer?

What brand amp would be good for MB Quartz front and Rear and Eclipse aluminum 12's?

I prefer Alpine over just about anyone else for head units. Their monitors and changers are also top qulaity, but very expensive as well.

As for an amp, clean power is the key. PPI, Phoenix Gold, JL, Arc, are just a couple name brands that are proven.... For the sub, a nice class d amp from Memphis, DEI, MMats, Arc, etc..l would work as well. Just make sure your subs's final impedance matches the amps max power output...

yea everyone's opinion is always going to be different. Like instance, I prefer Pioneer over Alpine. and there's nothing wrong with that. They're two both really good products that are out in market. They both do almost exactly the same, give and take a few options. But knowing you, cuz all of us guys are the same, we want looks and sytles as much as output performance! I mean just go to www.alpine.com and www.pioneerelectronics.com and take a look for urself. Alpines have a few HU that looks nice, but i like Pioneer overall.

hmm...Alpine subs, like their type S, hit really good. I'll give them that. Pioneer subs are so-so. Are you looking to keep all the components within the same brand or something? You could get a better overall sound going with different aftermarket components.

With lcd monitors, looks come into play for me. Well i still think pioneer has a better quality picture but that's just my opinion. You kno wut brand i think is really good but underrated?!? CLARION! They're so clean! but hella expensive.

Cd changers are cd changers. Nothing special about them. Both do the same job.

Hey aren't PPI's...Viper now? Well anyways...yea viper took someone over. Haven't heard much reviews about them. Well have fun!

oh yeah...

monitors are monitors... they are all usually made by sharp or toshiba... so unless its an old model, they are all pretty much the same... just see for yourself... some models you cant see at an angle as well as others.

CD changers, get a matching brand of the deck so it can be controlled from the deck for convience.

i like premiere head units over alpine. they seem easier to navigate and use. the alpine seems too difficult to operate. alsothe premiere has 6 volt pre outs standard.

Nakamichi or Eclipse for headunits

I'm running an Alpine right now, but the SQ on the Alpines has been starting to go down a little because their units aren't made in Japan anymore

I have a 1996 KEH-P8500 Pioneer and matching cd changer, a Pioneer GM-X 214 amp for my rear Boston Accoustic 6x9s, and an Alpine for the fronts. BEAUTIFUL SYSTEM. I listen to mostly classic rock, country, and classical, so I don't need imposing bass. But it kicks, and not a hint of distortion.

Alpine. The reasons why I like them better are already listed by other members.
