Can anyone help me out on this?

Can someone tell me how to fix it, if it's fixable.

Any link you guys could show or let me know on how to fix it.

I just don't feel like spending over $100 or more to get a new one.

It not very common, but it can and does happen. My suggestion, just go ahead and buy a new radio. Preferably not a Sony.

You could also do a continuity test on your rear galss antenna.

see if you can find a long wire or antenna plug,
remove the radio and plug this put the cable in the dash and listen to the radio, use the seek button and see if it locks on radio stations if the problem is still there you need to buy a radio and most of the people are correct sony is not a good car audio company
they make good tvs but not cd players
good luck
