Default MDX Radio upgrade

I have a 2004 MDX Touring with factory CD changer. I was hoping to put a stereo in from a 2005/2006 because it has XM installed. If I get my hands on the stereo and antenna, would it wire up without too much modification?

Thanks in advance

Robert

The radio doesn't have XM built into it, in case you didn't know. It's XM ready, you still have the buy the $300+ part from Honda. The plugs behind the radio are the same, and 07' is when Honda started using antenna adapters so you should be find on that front.

When you say that it is XM ready, are you referring to the 2004 radio? I spoke to the dealer Friday and they said all MDX's from 2005 on have XM installed. In fact, there is an XM button on the front of the stereo. Are you saying that the stereo in my 2004 only needs a honda part and an antenna? That would be great news.

Thanks,
Robert

Im saying that it comes installed in the 05'/06' but it's still not apart of the radio. It's a serperate box, called an XM Direct. They look a lot like what you can pick up at your local Best Buy or Circuit Shitty, but they're tailored to the Honda radio.
