hey everyone, i just installed the panasonic dvrq909U in my teg along with a monitor, everything is working but i need to know if there is a way to override the safety where no video comes out if the e-brake is down. thanx..

just ground the e-brake wire... and presto! video anytime!


edit: I am not responsible if you get pulled over and ticketed for watching a movie while driving!!

grounding the wire works? hmm didnt know that...

i just tell people to send that wire a signal, like from the remote turn on. :dunno:

Hey if you ever want to sell that dvd player I am looking for that model have the indash 7 inch panasonic and am looking for that model....

yeah, cause the ebrake switch just connects the wire to a ground... I dunno what putting positive power to the wire would do... probably nothing bad... but a ground is all thats needed.

when i install them for customers at work, i am required to hook it up properly - meaning an in-dash dvd display will not work without the ebrake engaged. they always ask me how to override it, and of course i cannot tell them, but i do tell them that if they bring the e-brake up one click, it will send a ground signal and still not be engaged. they always like that answer

I used to have a Clarion DVD player in my car and can't remember how many times I almost hit another motorist because i'm watching porn:naughty: will driving. Watching while driving is a big no no. You're lucky if you just get a ticket but if you end up in an accident (hopefully not)...... Just think safety first.

the only way i would play a movie or something while driving is if i had passengers who wanted something to do.....never would i watch something and attempt to drive at the same time
