how do i find a HOT wire controlled by the ignition switch?

gotta take out those panels where your knees go. should have a lot of wires under there and find a black/yellow wire in the ignition switch harness

well i need to hook a power something that can only come on when the ignition is switched. how do i splice into that wire? is that a good wire to splice into?

What is that something? And how exactly are you hooking it up? Relay? Or directly as a power source?

the ignition wire is the black/yellow wire coming from the ignition on most tegs.. may or may not be a good source to tap into depending on what you are hooking up... always a good idea to put a fuse inline..

I can't think of a single Honda that you can't tap switched 12V at the ignition on the white/black wire. Also, the cigarrette lighter is always an option.

no one said anything about the white/black wire. isnt white/black the starter wire?

if you want an easy way, just tap into the interior fuse box. everything in there is only powered by ignition.

Do you have an aftermarket radio installed?
If you do just use the ignition wire from that. Follow it from the radio harness to where its connected on the OEM ignition wire right behind the radio.
