cd player wont hold memory

Default cd player wont hold memory

every time i turn on my car my pioneer head unit will spit the cd out and when i turn it off it loses all the settings. i have to rig it so that it will work but when i hook it up the proper way it wont turn on at all.

You probably have the constant 12v hooked up wrong.

Check the red and yellow wires in the harness to make sure they are on the right place. The red wire will supply the unit when you turn it on. The yellow wire is constant and is supplying power even when turned off for retaining the memory.
