Very curious to know what most people prefer...some people like "SQ" and some people tend to like crazy bass "SPL"....

Curious to know what most people prefer, what they've heard, and some opinions...

 

Some I've had, some I've heard in my friends car. This would be based on everything including price.

some el cheapo brand 12's that i got at a box store like 9 years ago
JL 12 inch W0's
JBL 12's
JL W3
Infinity Kappa Perfect

I have been very happy with the Infinity i have now.
W3's slammed but werent the clearest sound ever. prolly the vented box tho.
W0s were good for what they were Loud but not too deep.
JBL i didnt like too much because they didnt last too long for me
El Cheapos yea i learned my lesson never to buy complete crap anymore

 

My friend has 2 13" JL Audio W7's and they are about the nicest things I've heard. They are clearer than I imagined, and they hit like a linebacker.

 

I've heard the same story about them as well. My friend has one in an S10 Extreme, its loud as all hell while still being surprisingly composed.

 

I have 2 10" Rockford Fosgate HX2's pushed by a 501bd class d... Man these subs blow away any 10's and most 12's. Really nice subs though
