OEM 6disc problem
I have a 94teg with a stock 6 disc and it only works when it wants to. If i take the entire cd cartrige out it'll work but it's a hasle to do that evertime i get in the car. Is there a way to fix this?
I also thought about getting a sing cd player from one of the later model tegs cause I want to keep the radio stock

Um in my 97 I got a 6 disc i moved from the trunk to the glove box and pinched the wire in the glove box and that made it come in and out look for a pinch in the wires i pulled one out of a junk yard car for 5 bucks and the cd changer worked great again
Hmm well I have't moved it at all, it's still in the trunk so if there's a pinched wire is there a certain area where it's most likely to be pinched at?
Does anyone know if a OEM single disk would fit right in and if the connections are the same?

a single disc player from a newer teg would fit directly and plug right into your car. You could also find a "slave" CD player that would fit below the OEM cassette deck, it would be controlled like your changer is now.
either way, you have to take the dash apart and pull the radio out... weather you switch to a am/fm/cd unit, or add an in dash slave cd player. You can usually find the am/fm/cd units cheaper than the slave units, so that might be the better way to go.
The slave CD player mounts in the dash with the OEM cassette deck that you already have, all the functions of the cd player are on the cassette deck already, the slave unit just has an eject button on it.
