Default Audio newbie question, please help

I need to know what kinda of box and amp for a sub with 500 watt RSM, 1000 watt max, i'm looking for something with plexiglass, um..also note that i'm on a tite budget.

Now wut kind of bass are u hoping to achieve? Personally i don't like plexi because bass tends to hit hard. Because i have 2 subs, i have a sealed enclosure. It gives a more rumble and loose bass. But anyone will tell u that it's best to hear it for yourself

12" IDQ or W3 mated with a JBL 300.1 or double each.


im not sure if JBL still made the powervalve amps...but i recommend this because ive had a similar setup for quite a while, and have no complaints...theres probably better...but thats my opinion.

wait a sec..do u have the amp and sub already? or u just looking for a sub with 500 RMS blah blah blah?

I only have the sub, no amp or box yet. I want somethign to sound good but also look good because it's going to be a custom trunk, like i already said my sub has 500 Watt RSM, max power is 1000Watt, how do i know what sub is right for it?

tell us what sub it is, how many voice coils, and if its 2ohm, 4ohm or other. then we can match up a decent amp w/ it for ya
