Do you need to amp all the speakers? If you get a 4 channel id look at 50-75 watts rms per channel. Then you can bridge the rear channels and run a sub. Or do you plan just to run the 4 interior speakers and no sub?
i seriously wounld not run the subs & speakers off the same amp. you could however use a four channel amp for all the speakers. then geta mono or 2 channel amp for your sub/subs.

Why do you consider it a bad idea? Why buy two amps and the extra wiring when you can save space and simplify wiring by using a single amp? Also amping the rear speakers is a waste imo. Why spend the money for people that probalby dont care anyways? Or if you want to buy that just buy a single 6 channel amp. If the amp is worth anything the power supply should be able to keep up with the power demands. The only reasons I can see for using a seperate 2 channel for the sub is if it needs a lot of power.
