The other thing is installation. My guy who works at circuit city is going to install if for me on the side for $50, but i was told that the brain would not be covered if it was not professionally installed by a DEI certified something. However, I thought about it, and it would cost me another $250 to replace it with installation. Where as if I went to get it installed, it would cost me roughly $4-500. So I am going to take my chances i think and have my boy install it. Do you guys agree???

If anything goes wrong with the alarm, it would still be cheaper to have the guy install it and buy a whole new kit for that particular part than have the part replaced for free if you got it installed by DEI.

Do they sell B-stock stuff? They state that they check items before leaving the warehouse to insure that everything is there. I dont think that would be nesscary if they were sealed from DEI's warehouse.

I just called the company and asked why they would check for items if it were a brand new box and why it is sold at a bargain. And he gave me a very legitimate response. For one, He is a Wholesaler and Distributer of the product. And Second, was for security purposes. He said he had many people buying the product and then calling back claiming the "little blue remote" was missing. So in turn he would ship them a new one, and in the end the purchasers would end up with two remotes easily which are easily valued at over $80. So to prevent any further loses, he now checks to make sure the product left their warehouse with everything.

B-stock means they are refurb items. They still carry a warrenty, but just a shorter one. :dunno:

But let me know how it goes. At $200 it is tempting.

Keep in mind it carries the full manufacturers warranty, and i know refurbs only give you a 90day warranty, atleast from what i have seen...

My alarm is in as promised, and will hopefully be installed in the next week or so. Eveything seems to be there new and in tact. I'll have to get my brothers opinion. Well my bro checked it out, and everything is all good.
