Default need a little help

i recently installed my system; consisting of alpine type e 10" sub/ and a 1200watt(300rms) kenwood amp....

the system sounds great but theres just one thing i need to do.....

my license plate keeps rattling when a certain ammount of volume is given. Is there a way i can get rid of this rattle

The plate vibrates because it is moving and hitting the bumper. Put some padding between it. I've tried putting Dynamat behind the plates and it works well. Having a lic plate holder might also contribute to the noise.

dynamat actually does sell a licence plate kit...

Start by removing your license plate frames. They're useless, and IMO the car looks cleaner without them.

Buy some of that adhesive weather stripping that goes in door jams. It's about a 1/2 inch thick. Put it on the back of the plate. Works pretty good.

Too expensive for what it is. You can spend MUCH less money and achieve the same result.

ah ok ty for the info i'll try removing the frame and see how it sounds..... then i'll prolly put some padding.

i did it the easy way. i ran the screws through small pieces of rubber tubing, bout quarter of an inch think. worked wonders.

any kind of rubber would work. I used some rubber weather stripping and double sticky tape.

I needed to put some behind my plate and i only have the stock radio

yup. juss about anything that absorbs vibrations will work.
