Dont forget about the wires. That can run up about $50 also.

Are you replacing 4 speakers or just the 2 in front and leave the rears empty? What size are they?

I wouldn't worry about the rear spekers and spend the 350 on a decent amp and components for the front. (Polk's DB series components come to mind)

CDT component speakers. "www.thezeb.com" has them for $199.

Then power them with an amp and that is a nice setup right there.

what kind of sound are looking for? oh you have 6 1/2's for the front and 6x9 for the rears.

i'm personally running the infinity references, but with the passive crossovers they come with i think they get pretty bright and lack a bit in the mids. they do like to be amped. the quality is really crispo for the price. i heard the polk momo's are have good mids. i've hooked up the kenwood components and they sound pretty warm amped.

i wouldn't put too much in the rear speakers since they're more for just for fill and anything should do.

food2000 how are the cdt's? are they pretty bright and how is the mid range on those. i'm in the market to change out my front components.

CDT has a huge line up. They range from a $100 set to a $600-700 3 way set. I would love to own a set of CDTs. If you are willing to spend about $350, the 6500's from eD are great also.

http://www.icixsound.com/vb/index.php? has both eD and CDT forums.

For $125, they are a great set with a great warrenty. And using the nine.2 with them would be PERFECT. It is almost too much amp.

If you are able to increase your budget, OZ Audio is the only speaker to score a perfect score in IASCA comp. They run new +/- $300 for 6.5's + 1in Tweets.(W/X-Overs) I've been running nothing but for years, and been very satisfied. Oh, for the record, please don't over power your drivers. I mean, a "500 Watt" amp is simply not neccessary. (If it even produces that much) I am also A Big fan of MB Quarts, VERY smooth sound. But whichever way you go, Please go with components/seperates! Coaxials simply just don't cut the mustard. I ramble BTW, as for rear fill, think like you are at a concert. Where is the sound coming from? I mean, Who Really cares who's in the back seat?

Its better to slightly over power a driver and slightly under power. Extremely over powered is bad, but slightly over powered wont hurt anything. If you under power, as you turn the volume up, the amp will start clipping frequencies because the amp has reached it maximum output and your still turning the volume up. The result is blown VC's
