I got them from ebay

Audiobahn a8000t - 180
Audiobahn A6004 - 140
I have the sealed ported box I paid 40 bucks for it.

Im always setting off car alarms and thats when playing at mid level. Also I have the bass control knob not even 1/4 of the way up.

i have a small amount of poly fill in the box.

it depends on how much power your subs will need to be amplified

forinstance if you were to get an Alpine Type X sub it has 1500watts RMS (3000 peak) u will prolly need a stronger amp to power it

if you under power u risk damaging .... i think the same goes for overpowering them

Kicker S12L5
600wRMS
1200wPeak

Audiobahn A8000T
800x1 @ 2ohms. 1200 peake
This amp is more than enough to power 1 or even 2 s12l5 subs.

I have the gains set low though.

Flyromeo3, What in god's name is a "sealed ported" box? There is no such thing, either it's sealed, ported, or bandpass.

I am going to take your advice, and purchase this amp. I asked one of my guys that works at circuit city and does audio and alarm installation, and he said it would be more than enough. I will be shopping around for one, i have seen them from anywhere from $100-200+. It will be my winter project, first I'll get the alarm put int. Thanks.
