Default DVD/CD player Memory problem on 96 civic.

I just got done wiring my new dvd/cd player. For some reason the memory is not working though. (which also is why i think my keyless entry stopped working). For reference, my car is a 96 civic ex. I wired the yellow memory cable to the yellow cable coming from the harness and to the red hot wires. Any direction would be awesome. Thanks!

i don't understand what you are saying "I wired the yellow memory cable to the yellow cable coming from the harness and to the red hot wires."

as far as the keyless, your keyless is built into the old factory radio. you must get the correct harness METRA 80-1720T and hide your factory radio in the dash. do a search for more on this topic.

Hey, thanks for your response. Yea, that is what I thought too at first......Just wire the yellow to the yellow and the red to the red. But doing that the dvd player does not power on. It is like the yellow wire running from the cd player harness is acting as a power wire. I have my stock radio still installed, I know you must do that to keep everything in proper working order. Any other suggestions?

yellow wire(from the harness your bought to plug into the cars harness) must be going to yellow on the the cd player. red(from the harness your bought to plug into the cars harness) must go to the red on the radio harness. if your radio does not power up like this then there is a blown fuse or your radio is bad.
